MANILA, Philippines – At least 2 undercard bouts have been set for Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's trilogy fight against Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
Pacquiao's promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, told ESPN.com that Mike Alvarado will be facing off against Breidis Prescott in the undercard.
Prescott, best known for knocking out Pacquiao’s sparring partner Amir Khan in 54 seconds, lost his most recent bout against Paul McCloskey last September 10.
He will try to bounce back against Alvarado, who is an up and coming contender in the junior welterweight division.
Leon Margules, Prescott's promoter, said it was a good fight as both fighters have similar styles.
Meanwhile, Luis Cruz and Juan Carlos Burgos will face off in the bout to open the pay-per-view.
Both Cruz and Burgos are coming off victories.
Filipinos in the undercard
Three Filipinos will also see action in the undercard.
WBO Oriental featherweight champion Lorenzo "Thunderbolt" Villanueva , Dennis Laurente and Fernando Lumacad were all chosen by Pacquiao, according to PhilBoxing.com.
Villanueva is undefeated through 21 bouts and is now also being trained by Freddie Roach.
According to ESPN, Top Rank will add one more televised bout to the undercard.
